Retraction

Yeah, no, screw that. I'm ruining my children's lives. Forever. They will be hideously warped and twisted individuals. They will hate me forever for ripping apart their family. My only consolation would be if they were as angry at their father as they will be at me.

FWIW, I'm sure it feels this way now, but maybe it's like having a newborn. It sucks, and you can't believe the people who tell you it won't last forever or that you will actually get to sleep again.

But even if you can't believe it, it's true.

You made it through that, and you can do this too.
